Find your voice and shine!

Here is hoping that this year more women find their voice, speak up for their rights, and find a place at the table. I realize I speak from a place of privilege, spouting whatever I think and demanding (unabashedly) to be heard. I know there are many women all over the world who do not have such privileges, who don’t know their own voice, and are never heard. The world seems to be going in the wrong direction this year, and I hope more women can find a way or a space to speak up, to be heard, to resist and push back.

I made this animation last year at the Tricky Women Animation Festival, for Madi Pillar’s animation workshop, and I thought it would be fitting for today.
